  1. I went there and asked for a quote from the only parts yard that showed one in their inventory. I hope someone replies soon.
  2. You sir, are a gem! So is that a hard-copy catalog you used? This is good information to know, no one in the Reatta Buy/Sell had a battery tray -- I guess a lot of them are like the one I have now...looks like a flaky rust croissant
  3. I am assuming the Riv and Reatta use the same part? If anyone has one for sale let me know, or if you can confirm they are the same part pls post -- Thanks!
  4. Have to say that is really something different. I know I wouldn't be sawing holes in my car doors and also that sort of thing is illegal around here (if you're driving down the road, like the rear mounted one) so its asking for a moving violation. But for something to play around with I might be interested in one.
  5. Its better to be a Hoosier if I say so myself... Are you coming to the Nationals in South Bend next year? Welcome to the forum j1hamm!
  6. Thanks but I dont have a pressing need for a brand new part for that car - just something that will hold down a battery! lol.
  7. Looking to replace my CRT Bezel in a 1989 - the replacement part has to be like new. Also looking for the shifter console top panel in best possible condition, I know these arent easy to find in perfect shape. I am willing to pay what the parts are worth, plus premium if need be for the right parts. Post or send me a PM if you can assist. Thanks
  8. I doubt if I have put 1000 miles on my '89 since Ive purchased it a couple of years ago. But it had more miles than pictured below when I got it. Pic will enlarge enough to see odometer.
  9. Well tastes vary, the problem with overly-customized rides is you cant get your investment back in most cases whereas a clean, stock vehicle is more desirable to a larger audience. Anyway $6000 for that Allante is hardly realistic and 10 yrs in the garage isn't what I would consider favorable news either although the buyer must consider it so. Good Luck!
  10. It would not surprise me that in the course of 4 years Buick would get the pens from different suppliers - so the difference may or may not be related to year model, etc.
  11. Battery tray just a pile of crumbling rust, no good for mounting new battery. Need quick replacement folks! Neednt be perfect at all just sound part. thanks
  12. Because Im a reprobate that let my membership lapse. I wonder if they will take me back??
  13. It would be nice if one could find a webpage regarding what exactly is going on, which day-time at the Nationals -- so far I havent been able to find any information unless you count this: 2013 BCA National Meet which says precious little about anything even like when the judging starts? When do the bus tours leave? This stuff should be in a thread or something. I havent been getting the Bugle so I dont have that either. Somebody know the details?
  14. LOL! let me repeat -- I need about 6 six of them, tan interior color. blue would be just a little bit out of bounds, brown or sand, yeah that could work but not blue, red, green etc.
  15. If the color matches thats cool. I dont know if the tan/saddle interior of the Riv was the same as Reatta or not? Then again anything close would look better than the bare metal.
  16. Not sure exactly what to call them, the floor mats have metal snaps (to snap on a non-slip thing) and there are round plastic snap covers to hide the metal snaps on the top of the mats. I need about 6 six of them, tan interior color. Are these easy or hard to find?
  17. Why did I hear the Nationals were going to be in Ft. Wayne?? No matter, this is close enough for us to have no excuse not to participate.... Now,...about that lapsed membership, um.. yeah.
  18. The car in pic is not pinstripe delete - it does have black side molding but I think its just a silver Reatta - there is a bluish cast on it from the sky that may be causing the finish to appear grayish - and besides that the lighting is so poor where its sitting that its difficult to confirm. So I wouldn't write off #901168 just yet without a VIN confirmation.
  19. Eh? Who uses the key to open the door? Not me!
  20. No Claret Reattas? Dang, if I knew about this I might have been able to join. Ft. Wayne 2013 BCA Nationals? That's probably as close as the Nationals will ever get to our neck of the woods so I better start making plans.
  21. Ha ha - no, not quite that bad. But my other Buicks engine got taken part because the oil seals...plus the fuel pump needed replacing The damage to my wallet was extensive.
  22. Oh, and just what exactly is an HB tester? Harbor Brieght of course!
  23. Checked for fire with one o' them cheep HB testers - no fire. Bad Crank senser. Fixed! Thanks guys
  24. Turn the engine over while looking through the clear plastic part. That wire is too short to be able to do that - needs two people one to crank the other to observe. So I have to get my wife to help - wish me Luck!
  25. Thanks guys - all good advice and until I test that fuel psi I dont feel Ive "cleared" the pump as the problem. Since the 89's have the CRT I thought I might as well check the diagnostics, it cant hurt. But I dont have a manual so does anybody know if the trouble codes are posted online someplace? You got em on your site, ronnie? I hate to say I will probably end up taking to the local garage if it requires a lot of dismantling. lol.
