Yes, that Verde Green GS did bring decent money!  It is a nicely optioned example.

But a sliver/black GS sold on Bring a Trailer this May sold for $84k.  Here's the listing: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1965-buick-riviera-5/

Back to the green Gran Sport, yes, overall a nice car.  I did notice the following discrepancies:

  1. Engine paint is too 'blue' to be correct.
  2. Missing the "Riviera' emblem on the trunk.
  3. Non-stock tachometer and vacuum gauge - removing them will leave some holes to fill in the console plate.
  4. Carpeting is a horrid, incorrect shade of olive green.  It's so bad the seller covered it up with green carpeting of another wrong shade.  BTW - that's the same wrong shade of green used by a dozen years ago by Clarks Corvair on the back lower section of their repro deluxe front seat covers.  Hopefully Clark's has fixed that by now.
  5. Wiper vent grilles chromed (incorrect)
  6. Wrong door lock buttons (wood slim vs. correct chrome mushroom type - easily fixed)
  7. Aftermarket stereo system, no stock radio included
  8. White pinstripe along top of fenders/doors - never seen that  before (not correct)
  9. Top of glove box liner seems to have fallen down?
  10. Not sure what that mass of red wiring is against the firewall in the engine compartment?
  11. Wrong radiator cap
  12. Wrong hood insulation (this one seems to have an aluminized backing)
  13. Trunk cardboards are white - correct is grey
  14. Trunk is carpeted instead of lined with the correct material
  15. Spare tire cover is missing
  16. Jack missing
  17. Rubber dust cover for carb kickdown/switch pitch is black - should be orange/red
  18. Trailer hitch?

Not trying to be fussy, just some things I noticed.  It is a pretty nice car, and hopefully will bring its new owner much pleasure.

Did you notice that no mention was made of the optional rear arm rest?  Is that mess of red wiring a bunch of vacuum hoses?
