Nailhead Valve Cover Grommet

I've been looking at my local parts houses but can't seem to find one of these. On my engine, it's on the drivers side front of valve cover that holds the 'breather' thing. Any sources that you know of?IMG_9259.thumb.JPG.5c74cdbbceab12bb8afa4cadd93489b0.JPG

Here's a photo of my rebuilt engine in it's home prior to it's first 'fire in the hole' moment. It ran pretty good. :D

That's  for a California pollution control engine.  Those of us in the other 49 don't have a need for that.

So what goes there on your 'other' engines? Or is there no whole there? I never noticed. Duh

There is a hole in the cover but there's a full sized plug that fills it.  Some guy will paint the plug to match the rest of the valve cover.  I'm not sure when Buick started doing this.  Valve covers from earlier engines did not have this particular hole in them.

PS - This guy has his breather oriented wrong.  The snorkel should point in the direction of the power steering pump.
