1935 Studebaker truck grease caps

Has anyone mint condition grease caps used on the 1935 Studebaker ACE 1T2-series trucks? Or re-manufactured versions? I have some poor versions available myself...see picture.

Thread size roughly 3-1/16". Caps was used earlier from mid-20s on the Studebaker cars, but with much smaller size threads.

Thanks :-)

This looks like the cap used on the wood wheel cars from the 1920s.

That is correct. While the design is very much the same, the trucks used a larger thread base due to the larger bearing cups size. I have seen re-manufactured caps, unfortunately not for sale, but installed on a few trucks. The original material is fairly soft aluminium, great for durability, not very great due to the softness. They did or do tend to slip the threads....

found one nice cab in my collection--plenty of bent ones--this 1 needs buffed & polished, but good starter--$50.00 shipped to you---Tom

Tom,

I am interested. Can you send a few pictures to my email, and confirm the threads size to be the magic 3.125"-16 UN?

My email: studebakerkid2000@yahoo.no

Thanks!
