Guest tacalert
Is this car for sale? Is there a number to call? Thank you
Taylormade
A no sale twice at an opening bid of $24,999 and $22,000. No bids either time. A nice, driver quality sedan with sidemounts, but I think he's too high. So did other potential bidders.
uh6077
You know the deal, too many doors to bring that kind of money. I think $18500 is the number.

countrytravler
I can part this car out for more than 18.000. That would be sad to do. Sold a basket case for 10.000. 4 doors and station wagons are getting more popular. People are selling their 2 doors and roadsters for the more door cars because they want to take the grandkids. I'm seeing this trend on the cars that we have sold.

jpage
When you said "basket case" I thought you meant a real "basket case". Around here that means junk!
countrytravler
That was 4 years ago when I didn't know this business and still don't. That was a giveaway. We are parting out a 36 4 dr sedan that we bought last year, being in to bad of shape to restore. So far it has sold over 10.000 for parts and still have many parts left. That is why I made the comment that the one on eBay would do over 18.000 in parts. That car is in way better shape than the one we parted. Pictures of the car we bought and the one on eBay. keiser31
It is pretty common to be able to get more for parts than assembled. At least, that is the way it has been for me. Edited July 21, 2015 by keiser31 (see edit history)
countrytravler
That is also the reason that I'm looking at the option to part out 2-34 Dodges. One is a Brougham 4dr that was restored 20 years ago and the other is an all original 34- 4 dr that has never been touched.
JACK M
Unfortunately for some and fortunately for others. The sum of the parts outweighs the total.
