Guest Tom Timmins
Are there any new improved ways to remove a heavy layer of Bondo from fenders? It is +/- 1/8" thick. Fenders will be off the car.

DavidMc
I prefer an angle grinder with a cup type wire brush, its very quick, no clogging but you need safety gear as the wires will start flying out when the brush wears down.
Bleach
I've had success using a torch to heat it up a little and scrape it off a spot at a time.
Rusty_OToole
If it is not cracking peeling or rusting underneath I would leave it.
Vila
Like DavidMC, I also used an angle grinder with a cup style wire brush. One of the ones with the wires twisted in 1/4 thick groups. Just keep it moving so you don't overheat and stretch the metal. Edited January 19, 2015 by Vila (see edit history)
