Guest Randy Berger
Does no one have an opinion what this car is??
Pontiac59
1917-1923, fairly expensive large car - in other words, not a Dodge, a Ford, a Chevy or the like. The photo is pretty clear, enough to go through a car spotter's guide, if I had one that covered this period.

TG57Roadmaster
I'll toss this out: Pierce-Arrow, with regular (not fender-mounted) headlights; the radiator, door and fender shapes, (plus the distance of frame valance from fender to hood), and the large size point me there. The hood louvers want to make me keep looking, tho' it could be custom body touch. TG
TheMoneyPit
Stearns and Pierce had a similar radiator shape, Stearns Knight?
TG57Roadmaster
I'm going along with Stearns-Knight, 'cause of the thin bead at the top of doors, also the seats, and as long as you could get a plated radiator shell in 1921.Still, the louvers don't add up, and the rear door seems to be hinged wrong...a custom-bodied Stearns?TG

toyz
Some states, like Tennessee have auto liscense numbers in their computers from the early days. If you knew what state the car was registered in, it appears that you could enlarge the front to get a clear tag number and find out to whom it was registered and also find out what kind of car it is. We were able to get a print out back as far as 1907 in Tennessee before the were trashed. Toyz
