  4. Hey guys, I need a distributor for a 1928 Caddilac V-8. We can use a new body if someone is casting them. Does anyone make them today? Will accept a used or rebuilt one. Is there another that will work. Our Model number is Delco 4032 Phone cell 423-667-0839
  5. What do you do when the tank is built into the body on an early car? We used acetone with some success(be careful of fires-no smoking). Someone suggested using aircraft fuel when storing early cars that dont get driven often and that it does not turn to shellac.
  6. We are looking to purchase a distributor for our 1928 Caddilac V-8. New reproduction? if available or rebuilt. Even take a good used one. Email direct to hcoker7118@aol.com. thanks Harold
  7. West, Great new AACA Magazine issue. I especially enjoyed the Thomas article. I thought my Australian friend had seen our 1904 3 cylinder Thomas when he was here but maybe he did not. So far as we know it is the only example left. West if you would like I can send a photo. Car runs great but three cylinder autos shake a little too much. I suppose the engineers had not yet figured out harmonic balancers. Harold Coker AACA Pres '72
  8. Steve, one of the neatest ideas I have heard of recently. Congratulations. Harold Coker Pres '72

    GAS TANK

mrpushbutton, thanks, thats what we are doing, hope it works well. We will try to remember to drain the gas of the tank next time it is stored. Boyz
  18. Hey , guys will Ethanol dissolve the shellac that builds up in a gas tank when a car has been sitting when the owner "forgot" to drain the old gas out. If Ethanol will not work what is the best way to get the tank clean. The tank is built into the body and we dont want to take the body off the car. Boyz
  19. Hey guys, I forgot to drain the gas out of an early car and cant get the gas tank out of the car without taking off the body. What is the best way to clean the tank without removing bocy . We obviously have a lot of shellack buildup. Be great if you could email me at harold@coker.com
  20. Do you suppose they will take trade ins? Harold
  21. I will miss him. He always could answer my questions clearly and correctly. He is a great friend to Lill and I. We were able to have lunch together a few times on the Savannah Ga tour a few months ago and we had a great time. We will pray for the family and for Harold in this very trying time in their life. 22. Our 1946 Chevrolet Pickup truck is on Ebay (120124690474)and the auction ends tomorrow. Dont miss this chance to buy an older restoration that is still in very nice shape. Take a look today, It is a professional restoration.Harold COker
  23. Hey guys, it is definately a Thomas Flyer. Probably an 08-09. They are very much alike. There are several identifying features that make me know it is a Thomas. The front axle, the mounting bracket for the headlamps.( I have a few spares in my stockroom just like them). The hood with the brass handles that hold the leather holddown straps in place, the box in front of the rear fender is the box that covers the front drive sproket for the chains. It is a double chain drive brute and would I like to have it today? There is also a brass "Thomas Flyer script" on that box. Hey guys thanks for the good word about our Thomas,s and our tires as well. Harold COker
  24. Old Iron, I dont have the compressor, I am curious if you have any extra Pierce chassis parts. Boyz
