Steamcar
I had a discussion yesterday with a gentleman about the same issue. I have a 1947 Clipper 6 and have an overdrive transmission and driveshaft I wish to put in it. The cable I have is not serviceable. He suggested going to the parts store and getting a power take off cable and adding the original ends to the new cable.Jim Showers
Clipper47
I have had cables made up by a business which supplies logging companies with wire rope cables. If you could locate a business which deals in this type of product possibly even a farm supply. I am reasonably certain that they could attach a new cable in you still have the ends from the old one
4t1pack
Depending on the condition of your old parts you can replace the ss rod. Greg

Joe Block
If you have a cable an in that frozen stuck, soak it in diesel for about a month, then everyday take it out and work from one end getting a little movement out of it, It take about another month to free it up. I had to do this with and NOS cable i bought a few years back. The under dash head is the hard part to find, don't throw away anything you have.
