R W Burgess
The car at the site listed below got pushed downline because of my Philly photo downloads, but I think it is worth a second look. Twitch
Sort of looks like an attempt to mimic the tiny 3-wheeled "vans" as they're called in England for wending their way around the quaint cobblestone paths they used to have.
Guest Skyking
Wayne, I'd love to race that with my Met.....

I always travel to work in a double decker bus, with a pea souper on the go, and a peeler on every street corner, giving a cuff around the ear of one of the street urchins who have just finished cleaning out a chimney pot!! Of course i AM just having a joke..... you of course refer to a Reliant Regaland Reliant did in fact make some very attractive cars...one of them being the Scimitar sports car, although i did have the misfortune to pass one one day at the side of the road, burning away a treat!!! Fiberglass cars do have that downside, and there was an insurance issue because of this and there was a modification that you had to do to the carb or fuel system (not sure which)to actually get insurance!! Have a spiffing day, what ...! Trevor.... '64 LE SABRE....... almost time to "un-hibernate" her !!
nearchoclatetown
Bigrig, there was a similar truck, called a Trivan, made Frackville, Pa. in the early '60's. I think they used Onan engines for motorvation.
R W Burgess
Here I am trying to help a poor fellow's picture that I inadvertinantly moved out of site.....,and I end up with a match race, people lining up to buy tickets, and our brother across the way wondering if we're considering another unpleasantness with them! Wayne
R W Burgess
Trevor, didn't mean to pick on your post. I enjoy your humor, makes me think for a change. I used to have to clean out pots in the old days, but they weren't for chimneys. Wayne

Guest stude8
Looks to me that they had good taste to select the 1953 Studebaker front wheel covers with the Tri-Star embossments that were later done away with after a suggestion from Mercedes that they were close to an infraction. Twitch
Hahaha! It's strange about "little vans" as we just got caught up with G.B. recently. I have old 40s magazines from there loaded with pics if the little tykes. Quite a few made it here and had V-8s stuffed in for lively "deliveries." And I can imagine driving on those old cobblestones must have been as fun as when we had brick-paved streets here.So cheerio, pip, pip and all that rot! ex98thdrill
WOW!! That is an old clipping! Back when that hit the press, I wasn't even a thought, my father was in Jr. High School, and Howard was.... Howard was.....Howard was.....Well let's say in comparison, that Howard was much younger, and Godzilla at the time was still a lizard!!
