ed neighbour
I have a 78 Porsche 911 sc and show in class 25.Recently converted to an Optima battery with a Tartopper shell>Will the shell(or for that matter the Optima battery) recieve deduction at a show? Thanks
Steve Moskowitz
Yes Ed, it will if the judging team notices it. The judging criteria is based on the condition the vehicle left the factory. The deduction for the battery is 3 points. I have not personally seen a Tar Topper and do not know if it makes the Optima undetectable from the original. Bhigdog
How about some more info on the optima "tar topper". I'm getting tired of shelling out $180 for a cheap P.O.S. that lasts 3 years but looks "correct"
Tom Conn
I have a 1950 Hudson Super Six and a 1955 Packard 400 - where can I get the Optima Tartopper(s) for these? I have Optimas in both cars and have a metal box made for the Hudson to hold the narrow 6 volt optima but would like something that looks more "real" The Optimas are great!!Any help would be appreciated.ThanksTom
