Guest imported_MikeWilliamsUK
I'm going to upset a few people now!The car looks very nice, but I shudder when I read "untouched perfect condition" and then see it has had a full rebuild with wrong engine, gearbox, axle, brakes, wheels and tired. Is there anything at all about it that's 'untouched'?Sorry, just my opinion. The car looks good though. Perhaps I'm just old fashioned - no, perhaps I'm just old!Mike
Guest BillP
No upset here, Mike. I thought that when I first saw it and was going to make some comment like "fitted in 1939 with the ultra rare factory prototype 289/automatic, chrome reverse wheels on this beautifully restored classic" but decided to grind my teeth and walk away. Good on you for speaking up.
Guest
Mike, And a lot of people are no doubt as likley upset by what has been done to this car! I'm with you but then again I guess I'm just old also!

1937hd45
Personally, the Lincoln it too large a car to rod, a 1935 or 1936 Ford three window would have been a far better choise. I've wanted to do one for years, shorten the trunk area and pattern the look of a Type 57 Bugatti.
nearchoclatetown
It always makes me wonder when they use the "restored" word. And why go to this much trouble to build a really good looking car and only put 600 miles on it before selling it?

I think just the way you do. But I wouldn't make a street rod out of FORD either like you guys! Mika --24 years - and thinking like elder people (???) 6219_Rules
I've always wondered that myself, Near. Nice car in the pictures, and I can understand modifying it if that is what the owner really wants to do but it seems a shame to modify a car of such a graceful and refined design as a Zephyr. Mike, I am with you, and about twice your age...but I'm not old, dang it! I rescued/bought my '47 before it was sold to a guy desiring it for a chopped and channeled rod in CA. Fortunately the previous owner felt as I did and really wanted it kept original. Happily it runs beautifully and charms everyone with its post-war elegance.
Old Crabby
Offerings like the above simply make the REAL untouched originals that much more valuable.

Guest imported_MikeWilliamsUK
Ah, now that's what I'd describe as "near untouched" condition. Looks complete and not mucked about with. Should be a lovely car when carefully restored.Mike
