PWN
Should the check valve be located between oil pan and pump or pump and block? Its a ball bearing valve.
DFeeney
I would post this on the Chandler page.
Steven Meixner
I would say between the pump and oil pickup. Without it there I'd say it's just going to suck and blow, and not pump.
Oldtech
Is it a check valve or a pressure regulator?? Which should go after the pump.

So I double looked at the pump more closely and there is a large ball bearing (smaller than a marble) check valve in the intake pipe and a smaller 1/5 the size ball bearing check valve in the distribution line. I believe the smaller one might have been sticky as it appears to now pump more oil. However my gauge is not working so I will trouble shoot that.
