Facebook doesn't know what makes of cars existed at one time nor cares. It makes those who use their Marketplace stick them in whatever related make name they have available. Oakland existed long before Alfred Sloan's size/price ladder came along to give it its Pontiac companion car...which ultimately replaced its parent make.
