Endoscope

I thought I had dropped a stainless nut into my open gearbox. I couldn't use a magnet so I broke out the Nidage endoscope.

I set it up to a lap top and was able to see inside the case, confirming the nut must have missed the box.

I have seen them as low as $29.95 and the one I have must be about 15 feet or more and you can vary the resolution. Plus it has a light in the probe.

Another plus is you can now do your own endoscopy and colonoscopy at home. Just be sure to do them in the correct order, endoscopy first.

But, wait...  Did you do your own endoscopy or the car engine's first?

Bought one a few years ago that connects wireless to iPhone or iPad.  Pretty cheap to buy, don't use it often but nothing else will do the job when you need it.  Great for checking out cylinder bore for scoring and other problems.
