Sea to Sea in a Model T

Recommended Posts

The car used today is not the original "ten millionth" car. That one was apparently lost to history a long time ago.

However, the event going on at this time is an honest effort to recreate and to some extent publicize the hundredth anniversary of the original event marked by Henry Ford and his longtime racing driver Frank Kulick.

The Model T Ford Club of America's forum is following it closely if anyone would like to check it out further.

The beginning of the drive was marked by an early bearing failure, which was quickly and hopefully fully repaired. The drive is back on, only a couple days behind schedule.

Part of the fun of driving hundred year old cars!

My friend Dean Yoder from

Iowa City, Iowa logs more

miles in his Model T in a year

than most folks do in a lifetime.

Dean prefers primitive roads

including logging and single

track steep track paths.

Dean has driven coast to coast

over the years and has been to

Alaska and back in his Model T.

This year to date:

Left The Yoder Farm in

Iowa City, Iowa and drove

to the Luray Swap Meet.

Dean joined the tour after

the swap meet.

Left Luray and went to

The MTFCA Homecoming

In Richmond, Indiana.

Left Richmond and stopped

by The Yoder Farm for one

night and some radiator cap

repairs and provisions.

Headed to Four Corners

where he met up with

his traveling buddy George House.

Left Four Corners for

The Yoder Farm.

Dean either boondocks

in the beauty of nature

or stays in campgrounds.
