Gearheadengineer
I know this isn’t a car, but I thought someone might be interested. I don’t know anything about these. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1472534573642844 2 NOS Cord bias ply tires. No cracks. rocketraider
There's a little information on Norwalk Tire and Rubber Company on the web, but not much. They apparently made high quality tires and especially tubes, along with brake lining material. Out of business by 1950 and their plant became an Armstrong Tire plant in 1955.
Leif in Calif
It's amazing to me how tires made long ago seem to hold up so much better than the current ones over time. Of course, I can think of a few other products (major appliances!) that have a similar story.
ply33
There is an industrial promotion film from 1934 on Archive.org called "Under the Tread" that shows the steps in manufacturing Brunswick’s “Super Service” tires that might be of interest: https://archive.org/details/UnderTheTrea
