mercman from oz Posted January 10 Share Posted January 10 Yes, your Hubcap is an Accessory 1947-1948 Chevrolet, but are you sure that it is 16 Inch? I have a similar one in my collection that is 15 Inch . Check out this photo shown with an Accessory 1949 Hubcap for comparison. As you can see, both are 15 Inch. mercman from oz Posted January 11 Share Posted January 11 (edited) This page from the original Sales Brochure for the 1948 Chevrolets lists "Five steel disc wheels, five 6.00 x 16 tires" It goes on to say (Special extra-low pressure tires on wide-rim 15-inch wheels, optional at extra cost.
