Interesting history!

Black Beauty, as named by Andy Belmont and continued by Leo Dougherty, was used in the ESPN Original Entertainment Movie *3: The Dale Earnhardt Story."
I bought it a few years ago and drove it to Santa Cruz from San Francisco .
I decided to have the brake system rebuilt.
All new brakes and shocks.Unfortunately
The guy gave it back to me and the brakes were not right. I haven’t had the time to put in it.
It’s all complete  It has a flat head six cylinder and was converted to 12 volt
I've included pictures of what it used to look like in the movie. And the Leo Dougherty story he wrote about the Black beauty.  email 6181b78037cb394c96d8e3a624abe34e@sale.craigslist.org

I had a 1939 convertible that had the column shift. It was a royal P.I.T.A. This one year only, cable and rod system ALWAYS needed adjustments. Once you got it to shift "right" you found that first gear position had you slammed into the steering wheel! Ugh.
