MrEarl
Just had a visit from Dan Slowik in response to my Bugle ad looking for old photos of Buick showroom pictures for future display in the BS&S garage. He currently owns but is offering for sale the 1940 Brunn custom Town Master prototype. What an interesting gentleman he is. He is beginning to downsize and offered me these wonderful old framed pictures from his walls. All communication was via mail, with wonderful descriptions of each spelled out so eloquently. We also had a few phone conversations and Rita wrote up and sent him directions to the house. He is currently traveling around visiting all the different Army posts he was stationed at and was on his way to Fort Gordon so stopping by Buick Gardens fit well into his itinerary. A couple of these are one ofs and I consider them priceless. His prices on all were WELL under market value and he was happy to know they will be displayed in the BS&S. The car in the far back is his ‘40 Brunn and I think he said the showroom was across from Buick in Flint. Maybe some of you are familiar with it? I treated him to a Red Rock cola with a shot of Bulleit, we toured the gardens and garages and he loved the 54 Century. He followed me to Hwy 78 and I gave him directions on to Augusta. What an enjoyable day!

MrEarl
Received a phone call from Dan asking for my address, that he had something he wanted to contribute to the Buick Sales and Service Garage. He also mentioned that when he arrived back home from his tour of the south he had a medical emergency and now has a pacemaker. A few days later this arrived in the mail. Never seen one before. What a super nice gentleman. 6
