I'm pretty sure that's Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland, CA, designed by the Olmsteds of Central Park fame in the early 1860s, and the resting place of many California captains of industry.  This cemetery was probably the favorite site of the late Bud Juneau for magazine photos of antique and classic automobiles, although Bud rarely included headstones as background for his exceptional photographs.

 

[edit] This cemetery is where I learned to drive beginning at age 12 on my great-aunt's 1934 Buick 56S--on Sunday afternoons.  We began at the large flat plateau atop a hill used for sunrise services before I was allowed to drive around on the curving narrow roads. That was a l-o-n-g time ago....  🙂

The cemetery in the picture is in  Colma, California, in Colma there are I think 7 or 8 large cemetery's. There are more dead people than alive people in colma. 

 

There are just bunch of stiff's in Colma
