ron hausmann
All - I was contacted by a person who now owns this stunning 1927 Kissel Model 8-75 Gold Bug Speedster. I’ve seen this car in person several times and she’s a great one. And it has the big Lycoming 8 cyl. Engine. He is selling it at Mecum. Ron Hausmann P.E. edinmass
Mecum has been trying to stick their fingers in the pre war market lately. In my humble opinion, I think it’s a terrible place to sell a pre war car………especially one like the blue gold bug above. Sure looks like a very nice example. If Ed says it it's probably true and that means it might be a good place to buy one!

Problem is, there may be no real bids……….and then presto, the auction company often makes the seller a low ball offer. (Car is already there, shipping and selling costs, ect……all put pressure on the seller.) Then the car gets flipped through back door deals……..happens ALL the time, especially with cars with values over 100k. 4
jcrow
I have searched the Mecum website without luck. Could you ask the owner to contact me if the car is not going to auction. I am interested. Or maybe he will post what sale it will appear at if it is going to auction. jcrow22006@aol.com I did email Mecum and they were very little help. That would irritate me were I the seller. ron hausmann
All - this wonderful 1927 Kissel was sold this past week prior to being listed with Mecum. Not mine. Wish it was! Ron Hausmann P.E.
