nzcarnerd
Have you tried googling the model number?
Blunderbuss
Yeah and I get no results. The “REV” makes the search engines give me nothing but “Robert Bosch Revenue”

Peter R.
German Bosch Battery Ignition Generator REVC4B 30/6 1200 R 16 S 8: RE type Bosch generator VC4B type distributor (4 cyl.) 30 Watt output 6 Volt 1200 rpm for max. output R for cw rotation (RH) 16 S 8 unit identification No clue what it came off of. Not a passenger car application. Too small, not enough output (30W). Never seen an early 4 cyl. Bosch distributor cap with horizontal wire outlets on a passenger car (not in a catalog). According to the type of distributor used I would date the unit late 20’s to very early 30‘s. It‘s not easy to identify early pre-war Robert Bosch equipment because general application indexes are not available (never seen one). Are all generators you have 16 S 8 units? Blunderbuss
They all appear to be matching. I’m hoping to I D them so I can list them in the classifieds section. They’re pretty neat pieces.

HarryLime
I just came in from the garage . It looks like what I have on a BMW DIXI 1928 to 1931 . There are minor differences , but that may just be within the four year run . Do you need another one ?
Peter R.
As far as I can tell Dixi used 60 Watt battery ignition generators. I assume 30 Watt units were either used on marine or stationary applications. Just enough power to charge a battery, no additional consumers such as light etc. I‘ll try to decipher the mystery….
