socalespecial
Hello Just purchased this 1 owner 1964 Buick Skylark off the original owner. The person bought it new off the showroom floor from Phil Hall Buick in Hollywood in 64'. Car was kept in the same Long Beach garage by the owners its whole life. The mans wife learned to drive in this car. Original color exterior and interior. Original black plates with original deanship license plate frame from dealer, Factory AC car, Numbers matching 300 c.i. with the 4 barrel and 2 speed trans. Car came with original title. Just a great timer capsule of a car. Does anyone have info on a good parts supplier for 64/65 Skylarks original sale parts. I wanted to replace the stock air cleaner breather to valve cove hose. Its cracked. Thanks!
joe_padavano
Very cool find, congrats. The 1964 300 is the only year with aluminum heads and that 4bbl intake is also very rare.
JamesR
Love it! Welcome to the forum. In 1964 GM did very little wrong in terms of styling, and the Skylark coupe is an excellent example of that. Congratulations on the new car.
socalespecial
7 hours ago, Mark I said: Can you post a photo of the hose you refer to? Heres a pic of it. Stock part. The large end (that's torn) attaches to the left valve cover secured by the clip to the breather filter on the valve cover. The small end attaches to the air cleaner on the intake tube of the air cleaner. The hose is naturally bent because that's the angle it has to be to make the connection. The whole length if it was straightend out would be about 6" or 7". Thanks for your help .
Jim Skelly
Fusick doesn't appear to carry it, but those of you with the '64-'67 Buick V8 should start emailing or calling them: Air filter to valve cover breather tube, 1969-68 Buick-Fusick Automotive Products, Inc.
