He bought the car from the Cadillac dealer in York when it it was Griffith Cadillac years ago. He drove it lightly, and didn't rack up a lot of miles after he bought it slightly used from the dealer. Twenty years ago he had the transmission rebuilt, got it inspected, and parked it in his garage where it has been ever since until I replaced the battery and drove it out of garage and warmed it up. The car is in very nice shape and runs like a top. It's an all original car with no modifications and includes owners manual and dealer warranty card. As far as I can see the the car is rust and damage free except for a minor scratch on door and a bumper follower that needs replaced . (The little plastic piece behind the bumper) These can be bought for 50 bucks a pair brand new. The car will likely need a heater core. The car is currently at my auto repair and inspection shop in west york. If you would like to take a look please call McDonald Auto Service at 717 793 3817 between 9 AM and 5 PM. No emails or texts and none of that money order scam take the listing down garbage. Price is firm and nit pickers and time wasters keep scrolling. TAKerry
I love those vintage caddies, even more so this being a coupe. Now if I could convince my wife as a daily driver. Its only about $50k less than a new car and I am sure it rides 100% better, but then again that gas mileage!

Would the engine in this still be a non V8-6-4 cast iron Cadillac block?
deaddds
Nice car. I like the part on the bumper fillers are only $50 a pair.... oh, you mean you have to have them painted to match? And drop the bumpers to install? I thought that was included in the $50.

Mike, it is the 368 big block V8-6-4 but still from a generation that a Cadillac collector can work with. Last year though. I was a Cadillac LaSalle Club member and still active on their forum and have learned a lot. Nothing to fear in the 1980 full size Cadillacs BUT 1977-1979 was a slightly better option.
B Jake Moran
Heater core could be an expensive proposition. Bumper fillers will all need replaced and color matched - $1500 minimum. And color is about as bad as you can get, and I like bland tans and golds! Nope, pass on this one, especially since it already has 116,000 miles. It's a $2000 car tops, for a collector that wants a car to use for shows and club events so he doesn't rack up too many miles on the better cars in his collection. Or - a new entry car for a young person, perfect option there.
JamesR
I often feel bad for elderly folks who've decided to sell their cars. Even if they haven't driven them in several years, their cars are still symbols of the independence they once had. It can be hard to give that up. We went through this about 10 years ago with my Dad. OTOH, I also feel good when an old car that starts getting dented and scratched (from an elderly driver running into garage doors and curbs) finds a new owner. Doesn't look like that happened much to this car. Hopefully the new owner will do all the right things to get this car in shape after its many years of non-use.
