Not being a 1924 owner I am sticking my neck out and saying you car should look like this.

I have a 1917 Roadster and nothing was available so I modified an old set and had some bits cast. Not quite correct but as we drive mostly with the hood down and need access to the boot they do us and no one can tell.

The castings needed to be drilled and cleaned up, the clip I made using Stainless Steel rod.

I had to extend the posts fitted to the car to bring the clamps inline with the hood arms.

Mike, I THINK you heard  from George that by '24 clamps were an option? Not all cars came with them. I have what is believed to be the correct number for '24 roadster but not in front of me. I will look at my list.

Yes I did hear from George. My car has the place to install the rests . The reason I would like them is  the window frame lays on the trunk lid  and is marking the paint.  Id APPRECIATE  what you can find out! Thanks Mike

Mike, the number for '24 roadster is 191. If ANYONE has a Bair Manuf. that made them I would love to have a copy for the club literature collection.

Ill put the catalogue  on my radar list to find!  So do you know what style it is for sure??Thanks

Having owned numerous early Dodge Brothers cars, an being an admirer of same….interesting how many apparently came from factory with no top saddle.  There was a plug where the top saddles would attach.  Saddles had a neat tapered rod which would tighten in hole when screwed in…..
