Just joined. In final stages of restoring, from ground up, a 1938 Ford 81C pickup. Restoring to, as close as I can,  original specifications. 85 HP V8 with .030 overbore, otherwise stock but fully rebuilt.  Unusual 4 speed transmission and God Awful green seat. Paint is Bright Coach Maroon, M1758 Yeah, cheated a bit, two part vs the old enamel.  Retained 6 volt but switched to negative ground so I could use more modern lighting. Stromberg 97 carb. Retained the Divers Helmet distributor. 600x16 tires on original artillery rims. Also fused each circuit vs the old one 20 amp fuse the Henry used. Added turn signals. Will post photos when complete.

PS: Came across an old bulb style Lorraine Appleton spotlight but painted OD green with black handle. No chrome. Works great but all info I can find is with chrome head and ivory handle. Maybe a WWII military model? Anyone know?
