lambert494
I figure this may be a long shot. Before I try to fabricate this rivet for a 1954 buick power steering unit, I wanted to see if anyone has this rivet they would be willing to sell. The rivet fits into the power steering gear housing to prevent the outer steering column from rotating and ensures proper alignment. I have attached a picture of a steering gear I had rebuilt and a picture of the one to be rebuilt. I put a yellow arrow pointing to the rivet. Thanks , Brian Edited December 29, 2021 by lambert494 (see edit history)
DualQuadDave
Why not just tap it and thread it and put a bolt in it?
