1954 Skylark Wiring Harness, still in the bag from YnZ
lambert494 replied to Fr. Buick's topic in Buick - Buy/Sell
Hi Doug, I sent you a message Thanks, Brian -
While disassembling the rear quarter windows I came across a piece of rubber I can’t ID. It wraps around the upper end of the rear quarter window guide and fits below the rubber rear body seal. I called Steele and Rubber the Rightway and neither reproduces it. The originals are dry-rotted. Has anyone ever seen this rubber part?

I’ll add some pictures of removal of a 54 buick steering wheel. Hopefully it will help. It looks very similar -
No, It's an old Niagara sheet metal jump shear. Probably 100 years old and still operational.

I’ve tried just about everything to keep mice out. I tried to seal everywhere I think they could get in. I’ve tried the machines that plug in and create a high frequency. I didn’t have much luck with them. I’ve tried D-con. I end up finding dead mice in the most obscure nooks in the cars and shop. Best thing I found that works for me is botanical rodent repellent. I have been able to buy it at Tractor Supply. It works for a few months. I’ve tried other natural rodent repellent with less luck. The I spray the perimeter of the shop with Mouse free. I bought it at a local RV center. Just my 2 cents but it works for me.

Hi Lamar, looks like this is the Delco-Moraine pump. They used both Delco-Moraine and Trico. My understanding is they used Delco-Moraine in the earlier cars and then switched to the Trico version. I have added pictures of both types. I think someone may have put the sticker on the old one when they switched the pump. Top picture is the Trico and bottom picture is the Delco-Moraine . I’m interested in purchasing this one from you.

If your willing to ship your tank for rebuilding then I would recommend Moyer’s Fuel Tank Renu in Pennsylvania. I’ve used them and have been very happy. They have been in business for many years.

I know these are pretty difficult to find Looking to buy a rebuildable 1954 Buick convertible hydraulic control valve. It should be the same unit for 1951 to 1954 Buick, Cadillac and Oldsmobile according to Hydro-e-lectric in Florida. The first picture Is from one skylark I am restoring. It had a good unit. This picture is for reference only. The pictures with the red background are from another skylark I’m restoring and it had a incomplete valve. If you have one and are willing to sell it please let me know. thanks Brian
