1948 Chrysler Windsor under hood metal trim panel????

I am putting the final touches on the 1948 Chrysler Windsor and have a metal trim panel that I don't know where it goes.  It is about 15" long.

Looks like the right front inner fender access panel that is removed to access the valve cover on the side of the engine.

This is the shield that goes on the ( I am 99% sure) passenger side. If not, then obviously it goes on the drivers side.

The 1st picture shows the one tab with the "arched" cutout. That goes under the transmission and on top of the rubber rear motor mount. You can see the outline of the motor mount. The rest of the bolt holes should line up and you will see where they attach.

The second photo would be how it is oriented if you are looking from the top.

Are you in Penna? I see a Pa inspection sign on your garage. I'm in Pa. and if we are close I'd be willing to give you a hand with your car

Yes, I see were it was supposed to go!  I did not tear this car apart and trying to get it back together for the customer.

Now to get 10W oil for the fluid drive transmission.

It bolts to the passenger side of the lower bell housing cast iron dust cover.

It's the exhaust header pipe heat shield. 

The speedo cable clips to it also.

1946-1948..
