Riviera63
My brother and I attended the BCA Heartland Regional last week in Chesterfield, Missouri. The Riviera ran beautifully and I had logged almost 1200 miles by the time I got home on Sunday. Great weather for driving and a show. Pretty good attendance considering the uncertainty with what is going on. This is the 3rd Regional Show show I have attended sponsored by the BCA Heartland Region. Every show was fantastic. They always put on a well organized, entertaining slate of activities and show. A great bunch of people. If you ever have a chance to attend one of their Regional Shows I would do so. A fair amount of Rivieras were in attendance including a 1963 that I am partial to. My favorite for the show though was a pair of Buick pickups. Jolly_John
Just curious....Is there any chance the red "pick-up" started out life as a funeral home flower car? Would have been a different color then, of course! I believe the stainless steel or chrome railings on the side of the bed might look like some I've seen on flower cars of that vintage. Chasander
I believe at least the black one was fabricated by the engineering craftsman to use as a utility “Truck” to run parts around the huge Buick complex during the war. I thing there was also a yellow one the internal fire department used up to the early 60’s.
