alsancle
Old guys and technology are never a good match. I know some of the guys that run the club, and they’re very passionate, and welcoming of new members. So stay on it.

blastermike
Hi all just an update, i have managed to free up the engine, ive decided if i cant find wheels ill make them, the 2 front ones were in pretty good shape so they have been blasted painted and tyres fitted the 4 rears ive removed the centres and a good mate has given me some better 20” rims which im going to put my centres in, spent most of yesterday striping tyres and knocking out rivets, theres a few thin areas ill need to weld in some new steel but i should end up with a usable set of 4 rear rims, well thats the plan and then i can bring the truck home and get it under cover before winter sets in cheers mike
1912Staver
Some GMC's used very similar wheels, but I am not sure if the bolt pattern would be a match. That truck is way too new for you Mike !

blastermike
A bit more progress, ive hot riveted the two best centers into the donor rims i was given, also i have now found 2 original wheels that are on a farm trailer about a 2 hr drive from here, the guy want’s some good 20” x6” rims as a swap which i can do as ive got some old ford rims off a heavy truck that will make good trailer wheels, still lots to do but soon ill be able to move the truck, also done some small sheetmetal repairs to the hood sidepanels, and removed the crushed rear crossmember, hope this is of interest? mike
