m-mman
A big twin axle Speedwagon with a Lincoln dog hood ornament and a proud driver hauling a load of Walnuts. What year and maybe model?
m-mman
Some close ups. The plates are 1947-50 California (the walnut packing house was in the San Gabriel valley) Do the ICC or other plate tell us anything? The lug nuts are awfully shinny. . .
Walt G
Way cool photo! I can imagine the sacks full of cocoa beans heading to the factory at Hershey . Sorry but I have the National Eastern Fall meet on the brain today since the weather is clear and warm and the sun is out and we all need a dose of friendship and flea markets. ( to look for among other things great period photographs!)
TerryB
I’m going to guess mid 1930s for the truck. Edit- About 1933 or 34. Great photo! Edited May 18, 2021 by TerryB (see edit history)
Dandy Dave
REO. The heavier trucks from 32 to 34 had the high flat radiator. In August of 1932 there was a straight 8 truck engine available. 358 CID. 110 HP @ 2,800 RPM. Looks like this would have been a 4 ton model as that was the largest model they had at the time. 20 inch rubber. Models were 4H,J,and K. Dandy Dave! 1
