Steve_Mack_CT
Nice car, but whats up with the old man gold parade of Caddys lately? 🤔😁
B Jake Moran
I used to hate the 65-66 Cadillacs but now they are my favorite non Eldorado production Cadillacs of the 60s.
Steve_Mack_CT
A neighbor bought one of these used in the early 70s, he used to wax it frequently, it would take forever.

Gold and tan, like this car's paint, were popular in the 1960's and into the 1970's. For the right car, I don't mind it at all. Remember the 1956 Imperial in gold that we were admiring a few weeks ago on the forum: Edited May 7, 2021 by John_S_in_Penna (see edit history)
Steve_Mack_CT
Yep very popular. Dad had 2 or 3, admittedly, I bought one a few years back due to the fact it was a very low mile daily driver. Dad's reaction "oh, nice car and great color" 😁😁
Paul from PA
Hate to bring it up but........ I drove one of these in a local demo derby many years ago. Same color but in poor condition. The big GM cars of that era didn't have much of a chance against the Imperials or even a lot of other larger Chrysler products as the GM's used coil springs. It was fun at the time. B Jake Moran
I've always been a fan of the gold to brown to tan palette of cars. I know many consider them bland colors. In the 30's the "Desert Tan" appealed to me, or Sequoia Creams, seemed an art deco color. I can't see anything from the 40's looking nice in this shade, maybe gold on a couple of cars. In the 50's I have always wanted a Casino Beige 54 Buick, it pops actually, against the chrome. But there was a discussion on the Buick Buy / Sell about how awful Casino Beige was/is. I could own this Cadillac. I am not one that needs a 2 door hardtop or convertible. There are some demerits, like the worn carpet and likely seats on drivers side. Those deep hubcaps have a nice dimension to them.
