NickBeeson
There is a Dodge automobile with the letter V as "hood ornement"s on both front fenders. It is show in the episode "The Case of the Half Awakened Wife" of the first season of the Perry Mason TV show. The episode was broadcast on March 15, 1958. They show carefully set the wealth of those involved by the automobiles they drove. This automobile was driven by a wealthy man. It dominates one sequence. Attached is a screen capture showing this automobile. Can someone identify it? Am I correct that it is a Dodge?wing this automobile 1
Gary_Ash
Not a Dodge. It's a 1958 Buick.
JACK M
The Dodges of that era that had a V on the hood indicated a V8 engine.
Dave Mellor NJ
I'm surprised you had to ask as "BUICK" is spelled out right on the front of the hood
Guest
Hard to see in the screen capture, but the same amount of letters as DODGE. Easy mistake.
Gary_Ash
Yes, Greg, but easier to identify if, like me, you ever owned one - and drove it off the road into a snow-covered field coming home from the bar one night back in 1965. No Buicks were harmed, nor the driver. 2

Buick a close second If the show was sponsored by Chrysler corporation, a wealthy person's car would have been an Imperial or a Chrysler New Yorker. Cars as status symbols were more important in the 50s than they are today.
