Trulyvintage
Recently I got a call from someone I had delivered a project vehicle to many years ago in Tacoma, WA. Anthony remembered me and had moved his VW service & customization business to North Las Vegas, Nevada. He had a project on casters to move. A 1971 Bay Window Slammed Roller. We carefully loaded it using my four piece aluminum commercial aluminum ramps and wood blocking. Then we filled the remainder of the inside of the trailer with totes and a lot of VW misc parts including axles and engines. Then it was time for Dessert 😊 Millison had volunteered to help Anthony on a Sunday do all this hard work so I treated all of us to a nice lunch with appetizers at a nearby downtown Tacoma eatery that had outdoor dining. As it turns out - Millison is a former Air Force Pilot who is a current Alaska Airline Captain - who also happens to be a friend of my good friend Grant on Orcas Island that I have moved (3) Stanley Steamer Mountain Wagons for. They hadn’t been in touch since Grant retired a couple years ago from Alaska with 23,000 hours logged. So I put them back in touch 👍 That was my Dessert 🍨 Jim
TAKerry
Another great story of how antique cars bring people together! Was a bit dissapointed that you didnt have a pic of the lunch though!
rocketraider
And all this time I had thought "six degrees of separation" was just a bunch of hooey! Thx for showing us it's possible.
