I have an old antique auto radiator cap ornament and can't identify it. I have attached a pic for your review. Can you tell me what year and make auto it came from? If not, can you suggest a source or any e-mail address to contact someone. Thanks.Walter Buckman
Mark Huston
I could be wrong (if so, I am sure someone will be quick to point it out)but I think this radiator mascot is an after market item. Not specific to any make, model or year, just a generic after market accessory. It does look like it is from about the 1930-32 era.
Guest
It could be aftermarket, but it has an early '30s chevy look to it. Maybe '33-35. The shape of the base looks similar and the head of the eagle has the same features as the eagle on the '31 Chevy ornament. And in that era, the eagle design was used by Chevrolet.hvs
Guest rcirilli
That base is also very similar to the 33 and 34 Pontiacs. I have seen them before but can't pin point it.

ronbarn
1933 Chevrolet - not aftermarket but authentic accessory. Maybe Rocky S. Will check in for more details.
Rick Hoover
Father Ron is correct. It's a 1933 Chevrolet Eagle. I've had one of these put away for a long time. Now I'm waiting to wrap up a deal on what it goes on.Rick
D Binger
Hoover,I see how that works - - - you buy the radiator cap and then hunt for the car. Wonder why I didn't think of that one. HmmmmmmmmmmmmmDan
Restorer32
Unfortunately the mascot I found in an antique shop described as a paperweight ($5) turned out to be rare "Daphne at the Well" or "Sliding Boy" for a '31 Packard. Not sure I'll ever have a car to fit under it but it does make a great paperweight!
