auburnseeker
I like a 61 Olds ragtop. On my bucket list. This has to be one of the worst paint jobs I have seen though. You could get it smooth but you would need to start with 320 I believe and make your way up to 2000 if there is enough paint on it and it's not metallic. B Jake Moran
Well, it's a Starfire so that makes it special. 1st year for the iconic convertible. I am not sure how you can tell the paint is bad, or a respray. It just looks tired BUT #2 Starfires are in high demand, relatively, and asking prices that I have seen for much nicer ones are $20,000 + . You drop in with $5500, and tow it back to the garage and go through it, you have a very nice iconic early 60's rocket ship. Obviously something is going on with the front seats. Like a recover but the bolsters were left out.
Hudsy Wudsy
That silver side sweep treatment was such a nice detail. It looked nice no matter what the factory paint color was. Here's one that someone chose to eliminate when they repainted their car. It's a great looking body, nevertheless: Here's lots of pretty ones on Google: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=610&ei=gbNMX7ubFcO3tQbF5qTwBw&q=1961+Oldsmobile+Starfire&oq=1961+Oldsmobile+Starfire&gs_lcp=CgNpbWcQDDICCAAyAggAMgIIADICCAAyBggAEAUQHjIECAAQGDIECAAQGDIECAAQGDIECAAQGDIECAAQGFCkQFikQGC8VmgAcAB4AIABO4gBO5IBATGYAQCgAQKgAQGqAQtnd3Mtd2l6LWltZw&sclient=img&ved=0ahUKEwj736HwgcXrAhXDW80KHUUzCX4Q4dUDCAc Edited August 31, 2020 by Hudsy Wudsy (see edit history)
