Gunsmoke
Cleaning up the 4 wheel cylinders for my 1931 Chrysler CD8 rebuild. All 4 bleeder passages are plugged solid after sitting for better than 60 years. Used a bent stiff wire to scrape some of the gunk out, have tried soaking in lacquer thinner, and using compressed air, and currently have filled with brake cleaner, nothing seems to easily dissolve the varnish or whatever has accumulated in them. Plan to try gasoline next. Any suggestions? issue has been resolved. Edited May 19, 2020 by Gunsmoke solved (see edit history)
keiser31
Try Bob Scafani for some better ones. He may have them. https://forums.aaca.org/profile/76719-bob-scafani/ Edited May 19, 2020 by keiser31 (see edit history)
JACK M
Are you referring to the bleeder itself? The screw looking thing with a hole thru it? Usually a tip cleaner will do it. Often they have an even smaller hole running across the tapered part on the cylinder end. So the passage that needs cleaning is actually T-shaped. If very stubborn try a drill bit by hand. Or new ones,,,, even better.
