Glasspacks vs Muffler

Any one running a CheeryBomb or other glasspack?  I was considering it because I like that sound but I am used to dual exhaust and high horsepower cars.  Looking for that distinctive sound I hear from 40 to early 50 bombers

my 53 custom catalina had a glass pack, it wasn't too loud it was a long one, in 1974 i had a midas lifetime muffler put on and new pipe, it was quieter, that muffler is still on the car.

Just recently fitted a cherry bomb to my exhaust after the original system and muffler fell to pieces.

It's not bad. Not overly loud (36" cherry bomb) but doesn't sound... refined. Under heavy throttle out really could do with a resonator and regular straight-through muffler.

It's a little more smooth now that I've set the valve lash correctly but that's pretty much the long and short of it.

That's all new, thick-wall 2 1/4" pipe all the way to the back (original was 1 3/4" thin) so that makes a slight difference to the note also.
