1984 Dodge Prospector 100 2wd shortbed

I am seeking anyone that may know why I cannot locate this model anywhere. When I need to order parts they never have my model. What is different about my model than the Dodge RAM? How do I locate a forum or find parts for my truck? Anyone please? I am at my wits end when things break on this truck. Thanks, Rhonda

The prospector should just be a trim option more than anything else.  If you need mechanical parts seems any normal ram of the same tonnage will work.  I had some Dodge Literature for trucks of this vintage and I seem to remember something about a prospector  but think I sold it all a few weeks ago.

Try French Lake Auto Parts. Also try Wildcat Auto in Oregon. They are all MoPar.

Guessing insisting it is a "Prospector" is your problem.   Won't be listed under that anywhere because, as stated above, it is JUST a trim package.  Nothing whatsoever to do with the mechanical or electrical or sheet metal of the vehicle.    Just interior trim items and probably a exterior tape graphic made it a "Prospector".

I'm pretty sure that the correct designation for your 2WD truck is D100.  (The 4WD would be W100.)  You should be looking for 1984 Dodge D100 parts.  As others have said the Prospector badging is a just a trim level of the D100 (or W100).  Good luck!
