Oldsfan
I find myself in the market for a '62 dealer promo. All of the ones I have seen on that popular auction site have a friction motor up front where the facsimile of the engine should be. I referred to an old copy of Collectible Automobile which featured these cars, and the scale model section refers to dealer promos and toy store frictions. Does anyone know if the dealer promos came with friction motors, too?
Thriller
The 1961 Invicta convertible promo I have has a friction drive on the rear axle. The bottom plate is stamped AMT, so they produced it.
