bgl
My '90 top was vinyl, but replaced it with cloth. I wonder if a cloth top was an option for this car? I think the cloth top looks better, as the tan is more subtle. Thanks!
padgett
I went with a Haartz cloth top, care more about quality than correctness
Barney Eaton
In 1990 black came in both vinyl and cloth.........we have never found information on why The product manual says that blue and red were available in cloth but it is believed only one each were made. Depending on the judges....a few points might be deducted if you have a cloth top in tan.......I don't believe white is available in cloth. I agree the cloth looks better. The choice is yours
B Jake Moran
Before I got it the last owner put on a new top - had a shop do it - in VINYL. Looks good, good fit. I have the receipt, I believe it was $600 or so. Like others, I like cloth too. Barney has good information - either way is fine.
bgl
Thanks everyone for the feedback. I wasn't so much concerned about points or anything like winning a show. Just wondered if the car could be had with the cloth top. Whoever is making the cloth top is doing a good job.
