Ric Dean
… Ross Steering Box 1920s or early 1930s (casting #E_1 LBH) (stamped #F142H) this came off a Big Car about 60 years ago. Any chance to identify which cars used this Box? The rest of the box was left behind. ID needed thanks, Ric

viv w
I think quite a few cars used the light switch mounted on a gear setup. My 26 Nash advanced six also has this system and I have another steering column I bought at hershey with this type of setup that I have been unable to identify. Auburn used Ross steering gear, but I don't know if their 20's cars used this type of light switch.
edinmass
That’s not a big car Ross box. That’s a lower end or mid level box.

Would an empty Dash Board that weighs 25 lbs. be considered a lower end car? Here is a photo of the back of it, if that helps. Thank you for your help. SteveJ
Do you still have the Ross steering box and is it for sale? I am interested in the gears on the end. Looks like what is in my late 20s Peerless. Steve - balrogj@gmail.com
