edinmass
Double white walls......what size tire would that car have on it from the factory?
John_Mereness
Ed, I am leaning toward a 6:00 or 6:50 x 18 and I think the drop center wheels were 17" via original size and pretty narrow too (and perhaps the V-12 cars had a larger width tire), but my guess is that these are 7:00 sized tire as in a lot of the original photos of 31-32 Auburn the tires seem a bit undersized compared to the wheel wells openings front and rear. My thoughts are "Bigger the Better" may apply here - the double white seems to fit the car well and certainly fills the wheel openings well. Curti
I would lean toward a 6:50 x 17 I don't think a 7:00 would fit in the sidemount tire pockets. That being said, tire sizes today are different than those of the 30's . My 31 & 32 both have 17 inch tires.
