DB26
Hello everyone, recently acquired these FoMoCo rims from my father and was wondering what vintage they are. I was guessing 60s? Thanks
m-mman
Seems correct, what size? Ford/Merc went to 14" for 1957 (back to 15" for 1965) The hubcap snaps OVER the 4 lugs so it is passenger car. Trucks up to 65(?) had hubcaps that snapped inside the lugs. It has 'vent slots' where the inner part is riveted to the actual rim so it is for drum brakes not disc. (pre 1966)
DB26
Thank you! They are 14" and here is a photo of the back:
Bloo
In the early 60s Fords used an odd offset center and a rim that was riveted or welded on upside down. You had to put the wheels on a tire machine upside down to mount tires. These wheels don't appear to be built that way. I am guessing 1965 or later. Drum brakes existed on Fords into the early 70s. eboose7
Looks like a 1957 Ford fourteen inch wheel. The Ranchero, station wagons and later Thunderbirds had a similar wheel.

CarlLaFong
Just to clarify things a bit more, those aren't rims, they're wheels
