Dave Henderson
While it may have had applications for other makes, it has been documented that Ford incorporated the Alemite 6178 grease gun for inclusion in tool kits for the 1934 model after August 1 1934 and used it throughout 1935. It may have been also used in early 1936 Ford kits. The Ford part number for it (which didn't appear on the gun) was 40-17125, as per Early V8 Tool Advisor Lin Stacey, writing in V8 Times magazine May/June 2003
