Frank Wilkie
My four cylinder 1926 Chrysler 58 has a stewart model 215 A Vacuum Tank. It is feeding a OE-1 Stromberg Studebaker carburetor... The carb is for a small 6 cylinder and the vacuum tank is for a 1927 Dodge. I guess this worked for the car in it's time of use but I would like to go back to original. Would anyone have the correct information of what vacuum tank and carb is used. The engine number of the 4 cyl. motor is : 1 7670 A..... Edited April 1, 2018 by Frank Wilkie (see edit history)
viv w
My 4 cyl Chryslers were running on Model A Ford carbs. The original carb was a Carter , very similar to 26/8 Chev, except the flange where it mounts to the manifold is different. These Carter carbs had a diecast potmetal venturi, and they disintegrated with age. If you can find a correct Chrysler one today, that is missing the venturi, then a replacement can now be obtained from "The filling station" who specialise in early chev parts. Both the 4 Cyl Chryslers I had, were fitted with Stewart autovacs and I'm pretty sure they were original to these cars. Viv.

George Rohrbach
I am not a Chrysler guy, and don't know anything about vacuum tanks. But I have been doing some cross referencing on my Studebaker parts. I did find in my Stewart literature that tank for Chrysler 1926 70 is 215-W and H-G 6 cyl is 215-R. I don't know if this helps you out or not. Sorry, I can't provide any further help on this.
