Chris Paulsen
Was this light used on anything specific or is it just a really nice, generic one? It fits a 9" fork. The inside of the glass has the lines in it while the reflector has the glass cone. Stamped Jno Brown and related info on the back. Maybe military, WWI? Casper Friederich
Information about Jno Brown headlights on Model T forum, could be of interest: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/257047/322179.html?1353110373 and the Company's catalogue from 1924: http://www.cimorelli.com/mtdl/1924/1924jno_brown.pdf Edited December 19, 2017 by Casper Friederich New information (see edit history)
Chris Paulsen
Thank you both for the information. I'm a little familiar with the Jno Brown's on Model T's-I've got a set on my 1910 Touring. But this light still has me puzzled. Anyone else? C Carl
Chris , your next step should be to see what the illumination pattern looks like. Put a bulb in it , and aim it at a wall. A darkened room , or garage , with enough distance. I am quite curious to see what this strange optical device produces. - Carl
1912Staver
I have seen one several years ago. Seller said it was from a big 6 1915 Buick. Did you find it in Washington State ? Greg
Chris Paulsen
Carl-I'll add it to my 'to-do' list. Greg-I got it in Colorado. I'll look into the '15 Buick possibility. Thanks-
