starlightcoupe
Joe, Here are photos of mine. The throttle rod is difficult to see as it passes behind the engine block. The first picture shows the rod attached to the carb with a 90 degree elbow and a cotter; with a couple of oblique angles to clear the intake silencer, then passing back over the top of the fuel pump to the firewall. The second picture shows the pedal rod cottered to the throttle link in front of the driver. And the third shows the rod as it appears on the passenger side after passing behind the engine, with a 90 degree bend vertical, then cottered to the rod from the carb, with the attachment of the pedal return spring. rbk
What is confusing in this post was that Joe is located in Germany and is possibly using a translator program and his request is for a accelerator linkage rods and not a cable. The nice pictures by starlightcoupe shows the cross shaft running along the backside of the engine block and the rod going to the carburetor. Was this assembly possibly replaced with a cable? Can you take a picture of what is in your car Joe? Edited February 18, 2017 by rbk (see edit history)

Can you take a picture of what is in your car Joe? I dont use a online translator. I try my best to learn speaking and writing english. But i assume my german is way better ;-) About the cable: It is maybe a mistake. I brought the Rockne to my engine guru in shop. He told me, the "cable" on the Carb is way to short, someone has shorten it. I dont know up to your post there is a rod instead of a cable. So next step is, to go to the car and see whats wrong in person ;-) Thank you so much, i will reply asap. Spinneyhill
Maybe your mechanic was thinking the pull cable clamped to the manifold and finishing near the oil pump was the accelerator? Or is it the hand throttle?

Or is it the hand throttle? Maybe! The cable clamped to Manifold is throttle, the second one hanging in front of Pump is choke. Will see ;-)
